Sharjah developer Alef Group has launched Seef Residences, an AED 1.2 billion waterfront project of 862 homes in Al Khan, on a peninsula where Al Mamzar Lake and Al Khan Lagoon meet the Arabian Gulf.
At the launch at Al Jawaher Reception and Convention Centre on 20 October, attended by more than 2,000 people, expressions of interest reached 150% of the homes within an hour. Alef notes these show early demand rather than confirmed sales.

The site has about 100 metres of beach, 150 metres of canal frontage and 125 metres along Al Khan Lagoon. Plans include pools, landscaped gardens, children's areas, a gym and a waterfront promenade with shops and restaurants.
The Dubai border is about 10 to 15 minutes away by road and Sharjah International Airport about 22 to 25 minutes, and AED 750 million of announced road improvements are expected to serve the area.
"Sharjah continues to strengthen its position as a destination for living and investment," said Raed Kajoor Al Nuaimi, chief executive of Alef Group.
