TARAF, the real estate arm of Yas Holding, and Steppe have signed an agreement with Marriott International to launch JW Marriott Residences Abu Dhabi on Yas Island. It will be the first JW Marriott Residences in Abu Dhabi.
The project sits directly on the beach with a golf course alongside, between the Arabian Gulf and the fairways. It is about 15 minutes by road from Zayed International Airport and 30 minutes from central Abu Dhabi.
01What is planned
Residents will have a lounge, a fitness centre, steam and sauna, treatment rooms, meeting spaces, a golf simulator and games area, a media room, a children's activity area and guest suites. The design draws on Abu Dhabi's landscape and craft, with natural materials and a restrained contemporary style.
The number of homes, prices and the handover date have not been announced.
"This marks our second collaboration with TARAF, following the sold-out W Residences Abu Dhabi – Al Maryah Island," said Jaidev Menezes, regional vice president for mixed-use development in EMEA at Marriott International.
Low Ping, group chief executive of Yas Holding, said the aim is to carry JW Marriott's philosophy through the design and experience of the project.
02What it means if you are buying
Branded beachfront homes are a small segment on Yas. Most Yas Island launches are apartments and villas inland or on the canal; a beach-and-golf branded address is rarer. See what is selling now in the Yas Island area guide.
Register before the launch. Prices and the unit mix will be set at launch. TARAF's other projects are on the TARAF developer page.
