The World Islands is Nakheel's man-made archipelago off the Jumeirah coast of Dubai, planned to resemble a map of the world. It has 260 islands grouped in seven sets that represent the continents, each island named after a country, city or region, and it added nearly 232 kilometres of beachfront to Dubai's coastline. The islands are being developed one by one as resorts and residences. Maserati Island by Samana, a pre-launch project of 232 apartments, is the newest residential scheme there.
